Please do not buy puppies from puppy mills or sources that buy from puppy mills. Pet stores typically get their dogs from puppy mills.
Puppy mills are disgusting places that breed dogs in filthy places. The mothers receive little to no care and are underfed and do not receive vet care. The people who run puppy mills are interested in one thing, money. It is common to see very sick, underweight and even dead dogs tied up to trees or posts. Many of the puppy mill dogs are sleeping in their own feces.
